Co-hosting Gatherings

The hosting team changes every time but is drawn from our gardeners. The core inquiry emerges from what’s alive within the OD for Life movement, whether that’s what we are sensing through our work in the wider field, from the calls and 1:1 conversations throughout the year, or what’s emerging in our Action Inquiry Circles.

So far, the core inquiries have emerged from what’s present across all the above, and when someone happens to speak it out, it just clicks with the other members and we go: ‘Ha, well, that’s it then.’

What do gatherings have to do with becoming an OD for Life gardener?

Joining a gathering is a core step in becoming an OD for Life gardener, but, more so, it is an incredibly enriching experience and it does not come with an expectation or pressure for you to become a gardener afterwards.

What’s the vision or intention behind the gatherings? And what’s the vibe?

When Din was asked about her visions for these gatherings when they started, here’s what she said: ‘At a basic human level, I’d love for it to feel good, like a delightful party, with a sense of flow and ease. At another level, I’d love to feel that we’re all connected with a deeper field of intention and possibility. I’d love to feel that the conversation can continue in North America and more is possible now because we’re connected through joy and responsibility. I’d love for us to feel the power that comes from shared experience, the solidarity of friendship, connection with the land, and Indigenous guidance. And I’d love for that to give us more courage in our different contexts.

In my vision, we are connected as a field, with intention, so collective wisdom can emerge. We’re personally strengthened. Courage comes from that. We feel warmth from this field. We feel encouraged to help shift the field of OD. There is a wave of wisdom coming with this gathering. And it is then woven into the OD for Life movement.’
