Gardening Weeks
Twice a year, in spring and autumn, we host a Community Gardening Week. These 1.5 week “sprints” are co-designed by the Directing Stewards and other gardeners, shaping the agenda based on their roles and the needs expressed by the community.
Inspired by Enspiral’s Assembly Sprints, these weeks are an experiment in shared stewardship, where we dedicate focused time to work on community tasks and needs in a way that is collaborative, intentional, and enriching.
All gardeners are warmly invited to design and participate in these weeks; they’re a great way of engaging, especially for gardeners that aren’t able to engage regularly.
And, if a gardener feels called to support the movement by taking on some of these community-focused tasks and needs in a more consistent, long-term manner (helping with outreach, website updates, newsletter writing, admin work, etc.), they are always welcome to reach out to one of the Directing Stewards.
