Gardening Weeks

Twice a year, in spring and autumn, we host a Community Gardening Week. These 1.5 week “sprints” are co-designed by the Directing Stewards and other gardeners, shaping the agenda based on their roles and the needs expressed by the community.

Inspired by Enspiralarrow-up-right’s Assembly Sprints, these weeks are an experiment in shared stewardship, where we dedicate focused time to work on community tasks and needs in a way that is collaborative, intentional, and enriching.

All gardeners are warmly invited to design and participate in these weeks; they’re a great way of engaging, especially for gardeners that aren’t able to engage regularly.

And, if a gardener feels called to support the movement by taking on some of these community-focused tasks and needs in a more consistent, long-term manner (helping with outreach, website updates, newsletter writing, admin work, etc.), they are always welcome to reach out to one of the Directing Stewards.
